The RiversEdge project represents a unique brownfield redevelopment opportunity on the 7.3 acre vacant site of the former Sisters of Mercy Hospital, which operated on the site for 109 years, from 1892 to 2001.
The RiversEdge Amphitheater Project is located in Marcum Park along the City of Hamilton’s beautiful riverfront, nestled between downtown and the German Village Historic District. RiversEdge is a riverfront public park that offers a vibrant urban location for outdoor recreation, live entertainment and an enhanced view of the river. For rental rates call the Hamilton Parks Conservancy at (513) 785-7055.
RiversEdge was completed in September 2013. The project included:
RiversEdge public park
Great Miami Recreational Trail extension
Trailhead facility with restrooms and bike parking
Steps oriented toward the river overlook/amphitheater
RiversEdge Amphitheater hosts events throughout the year and is available to be rented. It is home to the very popular Summer Concert Series, which brings thousands of people to downtown Hamilton to enjoy live music.
