Plan Hamilton

Plan Hamilton is a community guide to manage growth, promote investment and reinvestment, and sustain the exceptional quality of life that attracts residents and businesses to Hamilton. Adopted in February 2019, the plan solidifies a vision for Hamilton that is focused on the character of the City; our people, institutions, and government; our economy; and our form and function. Plan Hamilton serves as the overarching guiding policy for land use, development, and infrastructure decisions for City staff, Planning Boards, and City Council.

Need to know what the Zoning is on a property of group of properties? Our new Interactive Zoning Map Tool will allow you to search the Zoning of every property located in the City of Hamilton.

Each Zoning District on the Zoning Map is regulated by land used standards established in the City of Hamilton Zoning Ordinance. Our Online Zoning Ordinance will allow you to search through the specific land use regulations that apply to a property or group of properties.

The board and commission meetings are public meetings - open to the public.
Meeting agendas are posted on the respective board pages and available via sign-up through this website's agenda system.  These postings and the posting of the board calendar serve as notice of public meeting. 

The Planning Department also supports other ad hoc boards or commissions as directed.
