The best way to find out what inspections are required for your project is to Contact Construction Services. For permits requiring a plan review, an inspection list will be attached to the construction documents that are given back to the applicant at the time the permit is issued. This list will state the different inspections that are required for that project as well as their required sequence
Inspections are required at different stages of a project to inspect work before it is covered up. For example, footing inspections are required after excavation and form work is completed, but before concrete is placed. Rough-in, framing and insulation inspections are required before walls or ceilings are closed in.
Inspections for re-roofing involve a general check to see the re-roofing work in progress and a final inspection when all work is completed. For more information, visit the Inspections page.
