We provide paid training for all certifications with the plan to recruit the best candidates and to invest in our employees.

Starting Pay (annual)

  • Trainee (Not certified as FFII and EMT) $54,556

  • Firefighter II and EMT certifications $57,534

  • Firefighter II and Paramedic certifications $60,427 to $70,485 (after 4 years)

  • We are a full-time department, starting at entry level or with certifications.

  • serving 65,000 residents and visitors to the City of Hamilton

  • 48-hour workweek (24 hours on duty, 48 hours off duty with a Kelly Day every three weeks)
